This review really is so overdue, and words cannot express how wonderful Robert and his team are at Brooktree Studios. Although this purchase was on some film (which came in quickly, and was fairly priced), I have been a part of the film club of the month as well and have loved the challenge it gives me to become a better photographer! The scans are high quality, and I was very pleased to receive my scans back only 3 days after mailing them back! If there’s any doubt on whether to use Brooktree Studios or Brooktree Film Lab, rest assure that you’ll only receive the highest of quality. Shout out to Robert especially for helping me through some camera troubles and not just listening but actively searching to help me! Love this lab, love the team, and really home more people trust Brooktree with all their film needs!
Ilford’s XP2 Super is a high-speed chromogenic black and white negative film that can be processed alongside conventional color negative films in C-41 chemistry. It has a nominal sensitivity of ISO 400, however can be under- or overexposed in order to adjust contrast as well as the balance of grain and sharpness. When rated at ISO 400, the most neutral balance between a fine grain structure and high sharpness will be afforded. Its wide exposure latitude can also be used to better control highlight and shadow values, as well as an expansive range of middle tones.
